The Incident Management Teams Association (IMTA) is seeking experienced and passionate presenters for the IMTA 2027 Symposium.
Each year, the IMTA Symposium brings together professionals from Incident Management Teams, emergency management, public safety, and supporting sectors to advance knowledge, share lessons learned, and strengthen the incident management profession.
We invite you to share your experience, insights, and practical tools with attendees by submitting a speaker proposal.

Our Training & Education Committee and Symposium Planning Committee will review all proposals to create a well-rounded, high-value program. Presentations should:

We are especially interested in General Sessions focused on leadership, mental health, and related topics that inspire and inform the Incident Management Teams community.
Proposals must be submitted online by August 12, 2026
Session selections will be finalized in September 2026
The full Symposium schedule will be announced in September 2026
All speakers will be notified of acceptance or non-selection by September 30, 2026
IMTA does not provide speaker honorariums or travel reimbursements unless pre-arranged.
If selected, speakers will receive a complimentary registration code for the day they are speaking or a 50% discount off the regular conference registration.

Any speaker substitutions must be approved in writing.
Sessions may be cancelled if the original speaker or topic becomes unavailable.
