AHIMTA ICS Functional Work Groups

The Virtual Symposium will unveil a recently approved proposal by the Board of Directors of the AHIMTA that establishes ICS Functional Working Groups built around the Incident Command, Command Staff and General Staff functions of ICS for participation by AHIMTA members.   The primary purpose or “Leader’s Intent” behind this new concept is to provide opportunities to better engage our membership.   This will be accomplished by seeking to promote, support, and enhance the profession of incident management through the sharing of information and best practices, increasing communication and cooperation amongst local, state, tribal and federal agencies, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector in all phases of incident management and helping to establish standards.

This new organization under the direction of the AHIMTA Board of Directors will be overseen by a Work Group Manager appointed by the Board of Directors to manage and coordinate the various Work Groups.   Each Work Group will include all ICS subordinate positions within each section.  One primary voting representative will be appointed to each Work Group by your AHIMTA Regional Director and from our international membership, however Work Group membership is limited to AHIMTA members (join AHIMTA today to participate)

Join us on Monday, March 8 for an informative session on the foundation of the ICS Functional Work Groups (Included in the Symposium Registration)
